Students from academies and high schools across the Mid-America territory will descend on the Union College campus this week for the 65th Annual Music Festival, held February 1-4.
Each Seventh-day Adventist academy from a nine-state area surrounding Nebraska will send their top vocal musicians to join the festival choir performing on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 5:00 p.m. in the College View Seventh-day Adventist Church sanctuary. Each school’s choral groups will be featured in a concert on Friday night, Feb. 2, at 7:30 p.m. Both concerts will be webcast live at uclive.ucollege.edu.
The Union College Music Festival is designed to help students improve their musical ability, bond with and learn from students at other schools and get to know Union College. While this year’s event—under the direction of Dr. Ricky Little, professor of music—will feature choral music, the focus shifts every other year between vocal and instrumental performance.
All performances are free and open to the public.
