The Mile High Academy Mustangs from Denver, Colo., won the 2018 Union College Invitational Basketball Tournament by edging out the Andrews Academy Cardinals from Berrien Springs, Mich., in the championship game by a score of 50-35 in the men’s bracket.
In the women’s bracket, the Ozark Skyhawks from Gentry, Ark., defeated the Sunnydale Spartans from Centralia, Mo., by a score of 46-35 to take the title.
The annual basketball tournament, hosted by Union College, featured men’s and women’s teams from 10 Seventh-day Adventist high schools across the country. Each team participated in a round-robin tournament on Wednesday through Friday, followed by a single-elimination championship tournament on Saturday night and Sunday
