Dr. Daniel “Dan” Allen Klein, age 82, passed away November 25, 2025. Dan graduated from Battle Creek Academy in 1961, earned a bachelor’s from Andrews University in 1967 and a master’s and Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 1970. Dan served at Andrews University as a professor. The Klein’s moved to Lincoln, Neb., to teach at Union College in 1981. Dan was always an active member of College View SDA Church. Dan was co-owner of Regal Building Systems and The Waterford Communities Assisted Living. He served for decades at College View SDA Church as Elder and Board Member. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Daniel L. Klein, mother, Elizabeth Clark; brother, Tom Klein. Dan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon Klein; children Dan Jr  ’90 (Lisa), Michelle Fortney (’91) (Marty), Dave (’92) (Sheila); 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; sister, Joy Thon, and brother, Jack Burns.
