The buzz on campus is so electrifying you might be able to feel it! The school year has officially begun. Our freshmen class has been on campus for more than a week already, and I have enjoyed getting to know them. Their energy, mission focus, Union spirit, and engagement has been contagious for all of us!
Now we turn our attention to all the returning students who started classes yesterday. On Sunday evening, we gathered and shared pizza, conversations, connections and community. They make my heart so glad!
I’m reaching out on behalf of some of our returning students who are facing financial challenges that make it difficult to pay off their account balance from last year in order to continue their studies. They are in need of miracles in the form of your support and God’s intervention.
Union assists all undergraduate students with generous scholarships. But for some, the gap is too large and they need a little extra help. Union awarded more than $1.3 million in need-based grants last year to help students fill pressing financial concerns.
Perhaps you who remember someone helping with your bill, providing a miracle for you. Would you join us in this moment to help students persist at Union and finish their degrees? Maybe you never had to reach out for help, but you had friends who were able to stay with you because God and generous donors provided. Please know your gifts right now will help the students with the greatest financial need pay off their balances from last school year so they can continue their education at Union.
If you want to be part of their miracle, give today to the Need-Based Grant Fund for continuing students by clicking here. Time is of the essence, since classes began yesterday, and they are eager to resolve their finances. An additional hurdle for them is that due to federal regulations and Union policies, students must have their accounts resolved by the last day to add or drop a class — which is September 2.
If you think there are family members or friends who would join you in helping, share the stories below. These are just a few, but they represent the voices of many of our students whose education was made possible through donors like you.
Thank you in advance for your generous support of Union Adventist University students. Your gifts change the lives of many students, leaving a legacy that won’t be fully measured this side of heaven.
