Spark Start

It all starts August 12, 2024

College is a grand new adventure, and Spark Start Week is our way of making sure you have the preparation you need to start college right and be successful at Union.

Why Spark Start?

  • Experience four days of coursework, community building and fun that will help you hit the ground running when classes start on August 19.
  • Spark Start can also count as a one credit class at no extra charge — if you are not already taking more than 16 credit hours.
  • Spark Start is required for all new freshmen.

Don't forget — you can finish almost the entire Registration Checklist before you arrive on campus. If you need help, offices will be open all week from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. If you move in on Monday, you'll have plenty of time to visit offices, ask questions and get any help you need to finish the checklist. If you're not sure who to call, reach out to the Enrollment Office (enroll@uau.edu or 402.486.2504).

Life in Lincoln

Lincoln is one of those great big little cities:  big enough to have a wide variety of shopping, dining, internships, jobs, and cultural and entertainment opportunities, but small enough to drive across town without burning a tank of gas. In our mini-metropolis of nearly 300,000 people, we have hundreds of restaurants, a plethora of stores, and 128 miles of bike and hiking trails. Click here to get a taste of the city. We like it here, and we think you will too.
